Updates: We're going live: Spondula opens its doors

Today, at 2:30pm London time, a thing we've been carrying around in our heads for the better part of the last 5 years finally has a front door. Spondula is open.
I want to be honest with you about what that means, because I'd rather earn your trust slowly than oversell you on day one. This is Beta 1 early access, invite by invite. If you're reading this with an invite in hand, you're genuinely one of the first people in the building. That's not a marketing line; it's the actual shape of today.
So let me tell you why we built this, what you can do from this afternoon, and where we're going next.
Why Spondula exists
Payments are the only message we still send by reciting a string of numbers. We text people by name, we email people by name, we tag people by name and then, when it's time to actually move value, we fall back to sort codes, account numbers, IBANs, and the quiet anxiety of did I get a digit wrong?
Spondula's whole idea is simple: payments should move like a message. You get a handle and thats your name for payments, and value finds you by that name. No 16-digit numbers, no copy-pasting, no waiting three working days and hoping. Underneath it all runs a chain we built ourselves, so a transfer between two people is instant and final, not a promise that settles later.
We're rewarding the people helping build the Spondula network from day one.
Once you've claimed your S-Handle done your KYC and funded your wallet, you'll receive $10 of BTC-S. Share your referral link with friends, family, or anyone around the world. When they join, fund their wallet, and claim their bonus, you'll both receive another $10 of BTC-S.
There's no cap on referrals, so the rewards grow with the network.
